In May 2008 we opened White Horse Gallery.
How did this come about? A little background
The Roney-Dougals spent many years exhibiting their work at prestigious art shows in the major cities. For 15 years they lived in New Mexico selling their work in the galleries of Santa Fe and in galleries all over the country.
"In 2003," says Roz "we decided to change the focus of our work and specialize, for a while, in equestrian-themed jewelry. This brought us to the Bluegrass of Kentucky. One of our first shows there was the Rolex 3-Day Event. We were in our element!"
In 2008 they saw a little store on the charming Main Street of Paris, Kentucky. Just when they were looking for a permanent place for their collection, there was the right place at the right time. Roz can't make jewelry full time any more, but can spend time sourcing unique gifts in all price ranges, both for the horse enthusiast, for those who just love pretty things and those who love finding that special gift for friends and family.
Richard continues to share his talent as an award-winning goldsmith, designing and creating stunning pieces in 18k gold and charming, inexpensive pieces in silver. Richard is now exploring new design themes that are related to the horse and also that are related to his love of ancient history and art.
